If you wish to Transfer a .EU Domain Name to Gossimer, then you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

Transfer Process for Customers

1. Login to your Control Panel from http://manage.gossimer.biz/customer.

2. In the Control Panel go to Domains -> Domain Registration -> Transfer. There, enter the Domain Name you wish to Transfer.

3. Select the Registrant Contact for this Domain Name. You may select from the available list of contacts or Add a New Contact.

It is compulsory for you to agree to the associated Product Agreement(s) by selecting the Check Box.

4. In order to avoid any downtime for the website/emails associated with your .EU domain name during the Transfer, it is necessary to mention the Name Servers already in use by your .EU domain name. You may also provide any new Name Servers that you would like to associate your .EU domain name with. Here, it is obvious that all the necessary DNS records are already created on the new Name Servers for the website/emails to be functional.

5. You need to mention any existing Child Name Servers for your .EU domain name alongwith their respective IP Addresses. This is necessary to avoid any downtime for the website/emails associated with any domain name using these Child Name Servers as their Name Servers. If you wish to Register any new Child Name Servers, you may also mention the same alongwith the respective IP Addresses. These new Child Name Servers will be Registered once the domain name is Transferred successfully.

6. Finally, proceed with the Payment of the Invoice. Click here to read more details on Payment >>.

Now that you have placed the Transfer Order, the Registrant Contact for the Domain Name will receive an e-mail from the Registry for the Transfer Authorization process, which needs to be approved within 7 days. The Registry provides an additional grace period of 7 days for approval, in case the Transfer was not approved within the initial 7 day period. The authorization can also be provided through a fax to the Registry from the Registrant Contact. Template of the confirmation fax is provided below:

The request is processed once the Registry receives approval from the Registrant.

Transfer Process for Resellers

1. Login to your Control Panel from http://manage.gossimer.biz/reseller.

2. In the Control Panel go to Products -> Domain Registration -> Transfer. There you would have to enter the Domain Name you wish to Transfer.

3. Enter the Username (Email Address) of the Customer, on whose behalf you wish to buy this Service. If the Customer is new, you can Add the Customer, by filling the form given there.

4. Select the Registrant Contact for this Domain Name. You may select from the available list of contacts or Add a New Contact.

1. Login your Reseller Control Panel from http://manage.gossimer.biz/reseller.
    
2. Go to Settings -> Company Users -> Add.
    
3. Here, you need to fill up the form and decide on the role of the user. You can decide to assign a role of Billing, Sales or Support or any combination of the three. You would also have to provide a ‘from’ email address, for emails that would be sent by the system on behalf of that Company User. This has particular significance for Sales Users.
    
4. Click on Submit to add the User.

Once you have assigned roles to them, you can modify their Menu Permissions and Access Rights.

All Gossimer Web Servers have SMTP Server installed and are capable of sending emails. You need to use localhost as the SMTP Server in your web forms or web applications, in order to send emails through the Web Server.

The catch-all account could be configured to:

• Store all incoming messages (mailbox)
• Forward all incoming messages to one or more email addresses
• Send a customized auto-response
• Bounce all incoming messages
• Silently delete all incoming messages without a bounce

Follow the process outlined below to configure the catchall account for emails on your domain name:

1. In the Email management interface, go to Email Addresses -> Catchall Account.

2. Your catchall account bears the name default@<your primary domain name> (e.g. default@mydomain.com, default@domain.net etc.). For this account, you can either

• Setup a mailbox to store all mail, or
• Forward all mail sent to non-existent addresses on your domain name to another local or remote email address, or
• Bounce all mail sent to non-existent addresses on your domain name back to the sender, or
• Silently delete all such email.

3. Select the check-box before the option you prefer to implement, and provide the necessary details.

4. Once you have completed all the necessary settings, click on Save Changes.

Example 1 

If you have bought Email Hosting for yourdomain.com and want to receive emails sent to email addresses on yourdomain.net and yourdomain.info at the email addresses created for yourdomain.com, then you may do so by mentioning yourdomain.net and yourdomain.info as aliases for yourdomain.com. Here, emails sent to user@yourdomain.net and user@yourdomain.info can be received at user@yourdomain.com.

Example 2

If you have bought Email Hosting for yourdomain.com and want to receive emails sent to email addresses on yourdomain1.com and yourdomain2.com at the email addresses created for yourdomain.com, then you may do so by mentioning yourdomain1.com and yourdomain2.com as aliases for yourdomain.com. Here, emails sent to user@yourdomain1.com and user@yourdomain2.com can be received at user@yourdomain.com.

You can add up to 5 Domain Aliases with each Email Hosting package that you purchase. However, note that DNS Services in your Email Hosting package are included only for the primary domain name, and not for the Domain Aliases.
